  10. 1.  Documentation to accompany Notes can be found in the Windows help 
  11. file NOTES.HLP.  To access this, select Contents from the Help menu in 
  12. Notes.

  14. 2.  Notes is a utility program for Windows, and further description about 
  15. its uses and applications can be found in the Windows help file.

  17. Notes was written by Steven Porter, and is entirely my own work.  Notes 
  18. was written using Turbo Pascal for Windows 1.5 from Borland.  Notes is an 
  19. ObjectWindows program.  Portions of this software package are copyright 
  20. to Borland International.

  22. The software provided within this package is provided on an "as is" 
  23. basis and the author (Steven Porter) makes no warranty whatsoever 
  24. regarding the product and specifically disclaims any implied 
  25. warranty or liability of any kind.

  29. 3.  Requirements

  31. To run, Notes needs the following
  32.  
  33.     Microsoft Windows 3.1
  34.     IBM Compatible PC
  35.  
  36. 4.  Shareware and Distribution
  37.  
  38. The complete package contained within the compressed file and is distributed 
  39. as shareware.  It is not free nor is it public domain.  The copyright of 
  40. the package is retained with the author (Steven Porter).  This software 
  41. can be evaluated for a limited period of 30 days.  Afterwhich, if you 
  42. intend to continue using it, you must register with the author (see the 
  43. Windows help file for further information).  You, the user, may freely 
  44. distribute the compressed file, but the individual files contained within 
  45. must not be distributed separately.

  47. The compressed file contains the following files:

  49. NOTES.EXE    - Windows executable file
  50. NOTES.INI    - Default initialisation file
  51. NOTES.TXT    - This text file
  52. NOTES.HLP    - Windows help file
  53. PSUBS.DLL    - Windows dynamic link library
  54.  
  55. All of the files should be located in one directory, with the exception 
  56. of PSUBS.DLL which should be copied to the windows/system directory - 
  57. however, this is not necessary.  If you do copy the DLL file to the 
  58. windows/system directory this may save some disk space because it will be 
  59. used by other shareware programs I have written.

  61. I ask only a nominal fee for registration, so do the right thing and 
  62. register.
